RedDeer.Games has revealed the official release date for its retro-inspired creature-collecting RPG – Doki Monsters: Quest – which will debut on Nintendo Switch on November 27. Players will soon set out on a nostalgic journey filled with charming monsters, turn-based battles, and the emotional search for a missing childhood friend.
In Doki Monsters: Quest, every step of the adventure brings players closer to uncovering the truth behind their friend’s disappearance. Along the way, they’ll capture and train more than 140 unique Doki Monsters, each with its own look, strengths, and tactical potential. With bustling towns, mysterious caves, peaceful seas, and towering mountains waiting to be explored, the world is designed as a heartfelt tribute to classic handheld RPGs.

Battles unfold in a turn-based format that blends old-school charm with modern comfort. Players can fast-forward encounters, toggle optional tips, enjoy a clear quest log, and choose between an atmospheric 8-bit soundtrack or a calm piano version. With 20+ nostalgic color palettes and nine playable characters, every journey can feel truly personal.
The quest extends beyond the main story, too – with post-game rare hunts, multiple monster variants (including ultra-rare forms), fishing, and a world filled with secrets to uncover. Whether players want strategy, exploration, or a pure retro escape, Doki Monsters: Quest aims to deliver a warm, modern take on beloved classics.
